LCG Call for Speakers: Workshop proposals for events in 2025 - submission deadline 31 July

Would you or someone you know like to lead a workshop at one of our events in 2025? Please complete our short online proposal form by midnight on Wednesday 31st July 2024.
Submissions to be reviewed over summer and outcome communicated by the end of September.

Our guiding principles:
We are committed to providing Professional and Personal Development and the opportunity for our LCG community to engage in collaborative learning. In addition to our monthly short event format, we hope to run one virtual series (3-4 events once a week throughout March) focussing on the theme of ‘Who we are is how we coach’ and one full day face-to-face event in June focussed on a topic of current interest; for example 3-4 shorter sessions or 2 longer sessions, either individuals speakers or collaborative proposals from a group of speakers. The following will be used as a guide when assessing proposals and themes for our annual schedule:

  • The future of coaching in 2025 and beyond: new ideas, approaches, technology and innovative research

  • Developments in team and group coaching

  • Equity, diversity and inclusivity in coaching

  • Who we are is how we coach, reflective growth practices, supervision

  • Knowledge and experience sharing, including demos of coaching mastery

Diversity:
We are keen for our speakers to reflect the multicultural world we live and work in. We aim to host a wide variety of speakers at our events and would like to receive proposals from coaches who span different races, cultures, gender, gender identity, disability, ages, professional experiences and social class.

Our Values:
Inclusive community and sense of belonging. Connection and collaboration with like-minded people. Integrity and rigour. Professional yet playful with a sense of levity. Aspirational and progressive.

Benefits:
The London Coaching Group is a not-for-profit community interest company run by volunteers. We price ticket sales to meet operating and administration costs. We are willing to contribute towards expenses for speakers hosting full day in-person events. Whilst we do not pay speakers hosting our regular short events, our events offer you the opportunity to connect with an audience of coaches, gain exposure for other ventures, share research, publicise your books, workshops and courses, and receive feedback. We encourage you to invite attendees to sign up for your newsletters and blogs.

Location and timings of workshops:
We schedule a blend of online and face-to-face events across the year. Events take place on the fourth Tuesday of the month (adjusted for public/school holidays). Short virtual events are 90 minutes, evening events from 18.00 GMT or daytime by arrangement with individual speaker. Face-to-face events will take place at a venue in central London close to good transport hubs.

As the London Coaching Group, we inspire our members to grow and deliver a positive impact on the coaching profession. With integrity and openness, we create a supportive environment for experiential learning, innovation, and the development of coaching excellence.
