How to Find Clients Who Can - and Will - Pay a Professional Rate for Your Coaching

  • London Coaching Group England United Kingdom (map)

This is an online event taking place over 2 evenings with Sarah Short, founder of The Coaching Revolution. Tuesday 19th January 18:00-19:30 and Tuesday 26th January 18:00-19:30.

Being a skilled coach doesn't automatically mean you'll find clients who are ready to invest in coaching. Building a successful coaching practice requires more than the ability to deliver excellent sessions, it also means knowing how to create opportunities to work with the right people.

Coaches face a particular challenge when it comes to marketing their services. Many people think they know what coaching is, but their understanding doesn't always reflect the value of the work or what coaching can help them achieve. Equally, coaches can be highly skilled at supporting others while feeling less confident about explaining their own services, identifying potential clients or marketing themselves effectively.

In this practical and interactive workshop, Sarah Short will explore the difference between the skills needed to deliver coaching and the skills needed to create opportunities to do that delivery. She'll look at why having a clear focus for your marketing is so important, and how understanding who you're talking to can help you communicate the value of your work in a way that feels natural, confident and authentic — without feeling as though you're bragging or boasting.

A key part of the session will be exploring the idea of a niche. What does it really mean to have one, why does it matter, and what doesn't count as a niche? By developing a clearer understanding of who you want to reach and what matters to them, you can begin to make your marketing more focused, relevant and effective.

What will you take away?

By the end of the workshop, you'll have a better understanding of:

  • The difference between delivery and marketing: Why being good at coaching and creating opportunities to coach require different skills.

  • Finding your niche: What a niche is, what it isn't, and how having a clearer focus can support your marketing.

  • Understanding your audience: Why knowing who you're talking to makes it easier to communicate in a way that resonates with potential clients.

  • Marketing with confidence: How to talk about your coaching services and their value without feeling uncomfortable about promoting yourself.

  • The fundamentals of effective marketing: The basic principles that can help you approach marketing more purposefully and connect with the people who are most likely to benefit from your work.

An interactive workshop for coaches

The session will be split over 2 evenings and will combine taught elements with small-group discussions and opportunities for questions throughout. You'll be able to explore the ideas with fellow coaches, reflect on your own approach to marketing and consider how you might apply what you've learned to your coaching practice.

Whether you're establishing your coaching business, looking to attract more clients or wanting to move towards working with clients who can invest at a professional rate, this workshop offers an opportunity to step back from the delivery of coaching and focus on how you create the conditions for that work to happen.
