How might identity, power, culture, bias and lived experience influence what happens in a coaching relationship?
This interactive session with Dr. Courtney L. Teague, EdD, PCC explores how EDI and belonging can be brought into everyday coaching practice as part of ethical, human-centred coaching.
Using the HILL™ Framework — Human Insight, Intentional Innovation, Leadership in Action and Lasting Impact — Courtney will invite participants to reflect on how belonging can be supported through contracting, trust, listening, presence, inquiry and client agency.
The session will include a short teaching segment, opportunities for reflection and participation, a live 30-minute coaching demonstration, structured debrief and Q&A.
Participants will use an observation guide during the demonstration and consider where belonging was built, where assumptions or bias might have surfaced, and how they might adapt their own coaching practice.
What you'll take away
By the end of the session, you will have:
A clearer understanding of how EDI and belonging connect to ethical coaching practice.
