Tim Segaller, in a welcome return, delivered a thoughtful and interactive July workshop about "Less striving, more being".

Tim shared his deep knowledge about mindfulness and its relevance to coaching. He concisely and adroitly mapped aspects of mindfulness to the ICF core competencies.

During this session, in which there were several opportunities to work interactively, Tim led us through a series of exercises to enable us to notice different aspects of presence. He explored how we as coaches recognise how a cleaner presence enables us to be better coaches. It's crucial to consciously arrive at the start of a coaching session.

Thank you Tim for sharing your wisdom in such a relaxing way.

On Tuesday 27th September we welcome Stephen Burt and Julie Flower again, for their in person workshop "Creativity disruption. How improv helps coaches uncover new ways to think, act and be."

We are thrilled that this will be an in person event! We are limiting tickets to 50 and have booked a different spacious venue "The Lumen" 88 Tavistock Place WC1H 9RS.

Timing: 18.00 for networking,18.30-20.00 Speaker session.

Early Bird price until 12 September: £20.00; Full price after 13 September: £30.00

Coaches often need to be creative, respond inventively in the moment, and help their clients release their imagination and ingenuity.

But creativity is not just a matter of generating new ideas: it also involves new ways of moving, relating and being. Learning to be more creative is therefore necessarily experiential.

Improvised theatre offers a range of immersive techniques that enable participants to unlock their own creativity. Coaches can use the simple techniques (as warm ups, practice or for ideas generation) with individual clients, with groups and teams, virtually and face to face, and in co-coaching and supervision.

In this interactive session, Stephen and Julie will:
* Explain some of the key tenets of improv: its openness to mistakes and its mission to create and explore new worlds
* Link this to the challenge for coaches and their clients.
* Take the group through a series of exercises designed to facilitate creativity
* Provide space for reflection and sharing insights.

Stephen has published the Art of Listening in Coaching and Mentoring. He helps leaders at all levels from board members to emerging talent to make their goals and aspirations concrete and find ways to achieve them. He draws widely on his experience as a jazz guitarist and improv performer.

Julie has co-edited Coaching Tools vol 1 & 2. She is a leadership development consultant, executive coach, facilitator, educator, speaker and writer, with a focus on systems leadership, team collaboration, and problem-solving in complexity. She is also an External Tutor in Executive Coaching at Henley Business School and a credentialed ICF Associate Certified Coach.

Change to Availability of Recordings

From 2022 we will no longer be making recordings available for purchase after an event has taken place. If you are interested in an event but unable to attend the live session, you have the option to buy a ticket ahead of the event, and receive the recording and all resources and follow-up communications regarding the event, the same as for those attending the live event.

Venues
The Gloucester Road Holiday Inn is closed for refurbishment. We'd love to hear any recommendations for a venue which is reasonably central to London. If you haven't attended a previous live event, we need flexible space for 30-60 people, with a separate area for networking before the event. Please send your recommendations to admin@londoncoachinggroup.co.uk

Unless there are restrictions, we plan to have a mixture of on-line and in person events.
