Changes to the chair team @ London Coaching Group

The team behind the scenes of the London Coaching Group is changing this autumn.  Almost 4 years ago, Trish Dooley and Jan O’Brien formed part of a new team and have dedicated many hours over this time to continue the well-established community group and worked tirelessly to keep it running during the pandemic. They’ve both decided it’s time to focus on other things and we wish them well for the future with gratitude and huge thanks for everything they’ve done for the Group.

Carolyn Hartwig and Jan Morgan continue on the team joined by two new chairs Nicky Chambers and Ruchi Shah-Mehta who we are excited to welcome and grateful for the passion and contribution we know they will bring to the Group.

Nicky Chambers:
Nicky Chambers has been running her own coaching practice since 2013 and is an experienced leader in the cultural and creative industries, having set up and run numerous successful enterprises and advised on a variety of government and private initiatives. She sits on numerous boards and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts. Nicky is an alumnus of the Clore Leadership Programme and is an accredited Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coaching Federation (ICF). She is also a certified Co-Active Coach (CPCC), an accredited Firework Career Coach, an accredited Careershifters Coach, an accredited Spotlight Practitioner and an ICF Accredited and Trained Coach Mentor. In her executive coaching practice, Nicky's clients range from senior executives to future talent and those transitioning in their careers across a variety of industries including Management Consultancy, Professional Services, Global Tech Corporations, entrepreneurs, and leaders within the non-profit sector. She also coaches pro bono for the Taylor Bennet Foundation on their graduate and Elevate programmes and delivers workshops and Masterclasses for organisations including the Allbright Members Club and the Guardian Group. Nicky is on the Advisory boards for several organisations, is trained in The Neuroscience of Change, holds a Certificate in Team Coaching and is an external Coach Mentor for Henley Business School.

Ruchi Shah-Mehta:
Ruchi is an accomplished leadership coach who works with leaders to help them navigate complex business contexts and leverage their leadership presence, impact and resilience, especially during transition and change.  With extensive experience of supporting organisations that want to build a coaching culture, Ruchi has partnered with internal HR/L&D and OD teams to create innovative and relevant interventions that enhance change and transformation programmes.

Ruchi is an established coach educator and mentor who has delivered accredited coach training programmes globally. With her passion to support other coaches rooted in ‘who we are is how we coach’, Ruchi has been a part of bringing experiential learning to help coaches grow and evolve their professional skills and presence.

Ruchi is a member of the Forbes Coaches Council and the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council, and is a Professional Certified Coach with the International Coach Federation. Prior to becoming a leadership coach Ruchi spent fifteen years in the communications industry, across private and public sectors. She held senior leadership positions in government departments including HMRC and the Department for Communities and Local Government.

Ruchi believes that as coaches, we have a poignant role to play in supporting human potential, aspirations, challenges and hope as we move into a changing world order and that organisations like the London Coaching Group have an even more important role to play in inspiring coaches to grow and deliver a positive impact on the coaching profession. As Co-Chair team, she hopes to bring in learning, ideas and insights to sustaining an engaging environment for reflective growth practices and experience sharing. Ruchi takes pride in what we bring to the world as coaches and sees her association with the London Coaching Group as a wonderfully aligned opportunity to contribute to the coaching profession and to continue to evolve on her own journey as a coach.

So welcome to Nicky and Ruchi, and a big thank you Trish and Jan from us all.
