Coaches Corner with Kevin Chapman & Claire Dale
Kevin Chapman
1. Who or what inspired you to do what you do?
Everyone I see who makes a breakthrough that changes their life and the life of others.
2. What do you find the most challenging about your work?
People are scared to talk about and work with body… despite having one – and that the world of coaching is very heady and intellectual (whereas human beings are not) and so physical and vocal practitioners are not instantly respected as they should be
3. What's the biggest lesson you have learnt in recent years?
If you respond rather than react and decide on an empowering meaning for everything that happens to you – your whole life changes
4. If you could wave a magic wand and have one wish for you or your coaching practice, what would it be and why?
I’d like to have the courage to fire more or my clients who are not up for doing the work!
5. Tell us a fact that not many people know about you ...
I had my own stand up comedy club and once (slightly accidentally) played saxophone in a live televised concert in Ruby Turner’s band!
Claire Dale
1. Who or what inspired you to do what you do?
An inbuilt fascination with the human body from an early age: experiences in dance classes, biology lessons, running up and down hills!
2. What do you find the most challenging about your work?
Getting people to understand that our bodies are intelligent and miraculous, and to tune into that intelligence, our Physical Intelligence every day.
3. What's the biggest lesson you have learnt in recent years?
Being wholehearted is key, then everything works itself out, given time.
4. If you could wave a magic wand and have one wish for you or your coaching practice, what would it be and why?
That every coach, and everyone in the helping professions knows how to work with the whole human being, integrating Physical Intelligence into their coaching practice. Because then, change will be more profound, and people will be better at creating a world that is peaceable, harmonious, prosperous, inclusive and creative and sustainable.
5. Tell us a fact that not many people know about you ...
I have had three names in my time! Williams, Russ, Dale - I’ve enjoyed changing my name along with different periods in my life.
