Coaches Corner with Ana Nacif
1. Who or what inspired you to do what you do?
The inspiring stories I heard from clients at the beginning of my coaching career inspired me to learn and understand groups. There is something very special about groups.
2. What do you find the most challenging about your work?
Explain what group coaching is/what it is not (facilitation, action learning set, teaching) and the benefits that can be delivered by group which are out of reach of dyadic coaching
3. What's the biggest lesson you have learnt in recent years?
Perseverance and, if you don't make progress as quickly as you would like, enjoy doing it slowly!
4. If you could wave a magic wand and have one wish for you or your coaching practice, what would it be and why?
Organisations across different sectors would use group coaching as part of their strategy to tackle issues around equity, diversity and inclusion.
5. Tell us a fact that not many people know about you ...
I was born in Brazil. My father's family was from Lebanon/Syria and my mother's family was a mixture of Black African/Portuguese. Mixed, in my case, means very mixed and I'm extremely proud of my diverse heritage.
