What Counts in Supervision: Exploring What Coaches Value with Elizabeth Crosse and Julia Carden
Supervision is often described as a cornerstone of coaching, but what makes it genuinely valuable?
Drawing on research from What Counts? Coaches’ views on supervision as a developmental learning process, Elizabeth invites coaches to reflect on what they need from supervision, how they judge its usefulness, and how they can engage more intentionally.
Through polling, breakout discussion and dialogue, participants will examine assumptions, compare perspectives, and explore how to take greater ownership of their development and wellbeing.
Elizabeth Crosse and Julia Carden are highly experienced facilitators of coach learning and EMCC-accredited coach supervisors. Both bring many years of experience teaching and supervising research at Henley Business School and other institutions, alongside a strong track record of publishing and presenting on coach development and supervision. Their work combines academic rigour with practitioner relevance, designing interactive sessions that invite reflection, dialogue and challenge while remaining grounded in real-world coaching practice. Elizabeth also brings the added dimension of dyslexic thinking, enriching her engagement with complex ideas and supporting creative approaches to learning. For this session, Elizabeth will act as the main point of contact.
Each session stands alone and can be booked individually.
