April Newsletter

  April 2024 Newsletter

What a brilliant month of learning and exploration we had in March! Five thought leaders from the coaching industry bringing their knowledge and ideas to a group of coaches truly committed to doing their inner work! And every Tuesday evening in March has been special, challenging, illuminating, and a time we have looked forward to!
No matter how experienced we are as coaches, learning doesn’t stop and we want to take a moment to acknowledge coaches who chose to spend their Tuesday evenings learning and exploring, at times completely out of their comfort zones, and the amazing speakers who helped us connect with “who we are”!

Here is what some of the participants had to say:

"What a treat to have attended four workshops, each with the opportunity to learn new theories and explore putting them into practice during breakout sessions. The variety of new ideas coupled with the interactive format of each workshop made for an effective educational and practical combination. The theme of inner work has motivated me to explore further opportunities for professional and personal development. Thank you for this inspiring series, LCG!" Eric Rugundu

"The series of 4 workshops organised by the London Coaching Group on Inner Work, Outer Impact was amazing. All the speakers were incredible and gave thought-provoking and stimulating talks. I went away from each session feeling invigorated and wanting to explore more. As an inexperienced coach it was very good to realise that my development as a coach is not dependent on the number of tools and Apps that I have in my armamentarium. It is important to focus on myself and to tune in to who I really am to realise the potential of who I really can be. Understanding myself, being courageous about vulnerability, reflecting deeply and focusing on my personal development have all been interesting concepts of how to enhance my coaching. I have enjoyed each of the weekly workshops and have found them such an enriching experience. This is the first time I have attended the LCG talks and if the series is anything to go by, I will certainly make an effort to attend more." Quen Mok

"Many thanks to the LCG Team and all the excellent speakers on such a thoughtful, insightful and enjoyable 4 sessions on Inner Work: Outer Impact. When I signed up I had high expectations based on last year’s series and these were met again. Each session allowed reflection and discussion on a different aspect of BEING as a coach – our humanity, how we best reflect, harnessing our shadow and building our own capacities. As all of these were grounded in WHO we are and the importance of doing deep self-work. I’m taking away even greater clarity on the direction of my personal development in presence, embodiment and partnering. A great series, stimulating and reflective at the same time." Mary Farebrother

"This series was a timely reminder that we coaches need to spend time on ourselves and reflect how to find the best possible way of being in order to be able to coach well. Each of the four sessions brought something different and equally important. I loved them all, but perhaps quite specially the one on one's shadow. I think we all went away feeling changed. Thank you to the LCG for organising this extremely valuable series!" Susan Doering

We've had lovely feedback for our coaching demonstration event with Master Coach Shruti Sonthalia in February:

“The opportunity to see someone coaching live and then have the opportunity to discuss afterwards. Shruti’s grace and humility throughout the process was great to witness.“
“The chance to be fully present in what felt like a very ‘intimate’ & authentic setting. To watch a master coach ‘live’ in action was such a rewarding & learning rich experience!”
“The LCG team is outstanding. You provide such great learning events and create a wonderful community. Thank you for all you do.”

April Event"WTF? What's the Focus in Solutions Focus" - with Janine Waldman - this event will be In-Person in Central London.

Our first in-person event of the year, an evening giving the chance to connect with others in the coaching community. During this highly interactive session, you’ll discover how Solutions Focus blends into the terrain of positive approaches to coaching and how focusing on what's wanted, rather than dwelling on problems, can significantly impact coaching outcomes. You’ll learn where to direct attention and what to overlook in the pursuit of progress for your clients.

Join us to experience SF in action and gain practical insights on how to implement these methodologies in your coaching practice. Janine will engage us in activities and discussions that demonstrate how this approach can be applied effectively in real-world coaching scenarios with plenty of opportunity for group discussion and Q+A. Janine Waldman is a leader in the application of Solutions Focus in the UK and around the world. As a coach, supervisor, facilitator and author with three decades of experience, she has introduced thousands of coaches, managers, and professionals to solutions-focused approaches, and is passionate about engendering positive sustainable change.
