Workshop 4: 26th March - Coach development- upgrade your system rather than add more apps - with Elizabeth Crosse and Julia Carden

Coach development - upgrade Your system RATHER THAN ADD MORE APPS - with elizabeth crosse MCC and julia carden PCC and EMCC Master Coach ON TUES 26TH MARCH 18.00-19.30 ONLINE

This workshop will focus on how we need to learn in order to develop, moving from CPD to CPPD (Continuing Professional & Personal Development) in order to focus more on how we are being rather than what we are doing with our clients. The workshop is based on the doctoral research of both speakers which demonstrated the need for a holistic, iterative and dynamic approach to our development. We offer a challenge to the concept that coach development is about a linear, sequential progression through stages of coaching maturity.

We are inviting coaches to consider that developing their capacity for complexity and sitting with uncertainty, i.e. upgrading your system, underpins a deepening of our practice. Our development is not dependent on always adding more apps, in terms of acquiring more knowledge and skill.

“I really appreciated the enquiry into how I learn and develop my coaching knowledge, and subsequently translate this to my coaching practice & effectiveness. It was fascinating to consider the wider affect of my life experience, different (non categorised structured) learning from personal growth or challenge appreciation and the somatic imprint I hold as part o being a coach to support my coachees in their transition & change journeys. I like the CPPD term to encompass the personal perspective. It was thought provoking and in terms of reflective learning is beavering away in my subconscious.”

“Thank you for organising such an interesting series of sessions with really engaging speakers.”

“This has been a fantastic series. Thank you for organising it. LCG has by far the best events!”
