Wow! We REALLY found out how to find clients who can - and will - pay a professional rate for coaching through this series of two workshops!  In these two events, Sarah Short from The Coaching Revolution told us WHY we needed to do things differently when we are marketing ourselves as coaches and our coaching businesses, and what evidence that WHY was based on.

The participants across the two sessions (with the homework Sarah set for us in the middle) found it super useful and realised that there’s a lot more to marketing a coaching business than meets the eye. Lucky participants got to go through their work in detail in the second session which we all massively learnt from!

Hear what some of the attendees had to say
When Sarah walked us through with actual examples of ICA from participants including myself, the whys and hows really came to life, putting meat on this process was undeniably very powerful. Sarah is not only knowledgeable in her craft, I loved and enjoyed her no nonsense approach and honesty. This series was extremely useful. Thank you for putting this amazing series together. – Aska Naito PCC

Sarah Short's session today was inspiring and made us think about our ideal client and how we are able to get our marketing message on target to that client. She challenged our thinking and gave us ideas on how to proceed and I liked her honesty. – Carole Elam

Sarah Short was inspirational in giving us the reality check needed to market ourselves effectively as coaches. Her persuasive and enthusiastic approach kept us engaged in material that was easy to connect and relate to without use of PowerPoint. Her ability to focus us on specific ways to identify our target audience was thought provoking and very effective for me personally. – SARA YOUNG

I thoroughly enjoyed tonight's session. Sarah is not only engaging and enjoyable to listen to, but she is also friendly and approachable. Her focus on the business side of coaching is particularly noteworthy, as it is an aspect that is often overlooked and not spoken about enough. – Jennifer O’Meara

March series: Inner work, outer impact
After a sold out series last year, by popular demand, we are back with another series focusing on inner work, outer impact!
As coaches we are always looking for tools and techniques to enhance our coaching. However, one element that can have a huge impact on how we evolve as coaches lies within, beyond all tools and techniques! It's the inner work, because ‘who we are is how we coach’!  Developing the ability to get out of your own way, tune into who you really are, opens up the door to step into the potential of who you really can be!  This series will give you the opportunity to do just that, for yourself and your clients.
Invest your time in doing some inner work throughout March! Deeper inner work is one of the most rewarding and profound ways of sharpening your skills, influencing your presence, authenticity and confidence as a coach and, in turn, the impact of the work you do with clients.
Join us for an immersive series of four workshops focused on different aspects of your inner work and the beginning or evolution of a deeper journey for you.
Please note the workshops will be online from 6.00pm -7.30pm (GMT) and recordings will be made available to those who buy tickets.

Workshop 1:  5th March- The Human behind the coach with Lucia Baldelli MCC
A lot has been written about how to do coaching. Much of this is about what we need to do in the room to help someone else move forward. Artful coaching is not about doing more or better, nor about more or slicker techniques. It is about being more human: moving from thinking about skillset and toolset to life-set and mindset.

Once you have technical skill in coaching, the next step is being more courageous, tolerating not knowing, stopping trying to win, being vulnerable and humble. So as a coach, if you want to deepen your work without adding more tools and techniques, and you are willing to do some deeper work in service of having more transformational conversations with your clients, then this workshop is for you. In this workshop Lucia Baldelli MCC, will share some stories about the key human qualities (silence, control, humility, vulnerability, distance, courage)  we need to cultivate to be a more artful coach and how she worked on herself to grow them before helping others.

Workshop 2: 12th March - Is how you reflect congruent with who you are? With Michelle Lucas
If we believe that “who we are is how we coach” we need to know ourselves and our practice intimately well. While we attend to the number of hours delivered, reflection magnifies, exponentially the learning held in those hours. Coach training tends to focus on reflection through journaling, yet sometimes we need to unlearn habits, to progress. Through Michelle’s own struggle with reflection, she has built a library of resources that engage a diversity of learning styles, now compiled into the book “Creating the Reflective Habit” (Routledge, 2023). This workshop offers the chance to play with 5 templates each appealing to a different learning style (Cognitive, Visual, Auditory, Kinaesthetic and Poetic).

In this workshop, Michelle wilI share 8 experiments which help us reconsider our approach to reflection such that we build a sustainable habit, tailored to who you are. Interactive and thought provoking, this is an opportunity to find out if how you reflect, is congruent with who you are!

Workshop 3: 19th March - Learning the language of shadow with Teresa Wilson
Who we are is how we coach – but who are you? You are all that you know yourself to be – all that is available to you from your field of conscious awareness – and you are so much more besides. You are also formed and informed by all that is held in your unconscious. Far from being a passive repository, your unconscious – or shadow material – plays an active part in shaping your preferences, likes, dislikes, biases and more.

As coaches, developing presence (over persona) is an on-going journey; so learning the language of shadow is a way to deepen our understanding of the unconscious triggers that might take us out of presence at any moment. This workshop will introduce the four P’s of shadow language – Projection, Polarity, Parts and Patterns – allowing you to deepen your reflective skills and increase your presence in the coaching relationship

Workshop 4: 26th March - Coach development- upgrade your system rather than add more apps - how we need to learn and develop with EMCC Master Coach Julia Carden and Elizabeth Crosse MCC
This workshop will focus on how we need to learn in order to develop, moving from CPD to CPPD (Continuing Professional & Personal Development) in order to focus more on how we are being rather than what we are doing with our clients. The workshop is based on the doctoral research of both speakers which demonstrated the need for a holistic, iterative and dynamic approach to our development. We offer a challenge to the concept that coach development is about a linear, sequential progression through stages of coaching maturity.

We are inviting coaches to consider that developing their capacity for complexity and sitting with uncertainty, i.e. upgrading your system, underpins a deepening of our practice. Our development is not dependent on always adding more apps, in terms of acquiring more knowledge and skill.
