October 2021 Newsletter
We were delighted to welcome the return Dr Magdalena Bak-Meier alongside Abi Boughton-Thomas, sharing their perspectives from neuroscience and nature in "Finding Balance in Connection".
Magdalena adroitly led us through the complexities of polyvagal theory, which explains the science behind our emotional reactions, a very rich learning experience which was discussed in a breakout group. Abi gave us a thoughtful meditation and shared tips about how to bring nature as an aid to balance. Finally, Magdalena gave an overview of the four quadrants of the grid to balance us as coaches and facilitate the same with our clients. We recorded the Q&A to share the valuable insights of neuroscience and having a whole life which includes balance.
Thank you so much Magdalena and Abi for such a thoughtful and insightful session.

On Tuesday 23rd November 2021, we look forward to welcoming Stephanie Wheeler & Teresa Leyman, who will lead us in a session on "Seriously Playful: The Serious Role of Playfulness in Coaching".
In this workshop we will be exploring why we might consider bringing a playful approach to coaching conversations and the benefits of using this approach. We will be examining what we mean by play and playfulness discussing some of the theory and latest research about this. We will also be discussing where do positive emotions/ humour and laughter fit in with playfulness in a coaching context and considering what barriers and risks there are to playfulness in coaching conversations.

If you attend for the full duration of our live sessions, we will send you a CCE certificate for 1.25 units.
We are excited to be applying for CCEs for all planned future events.
