Coaches Corner with Juliet Adams

1. Who or what inspired you to do what you do?
Current ways of working for many are unsustainable. I am passionate about helping busy people find new ways to be more productive and improve their wellbeing at the same time.  I also love to make the complex simple and help people access new ways of working which might have seemed left field or too hard.

2. What do you find the most challenging about your work?
Balancing time for research, writing, creating momentum in new fields to make them more accessible with earning money….

3. What’s the biggest lesson you have learnt in recent years?
Credit where credit is due.  I worked so hard to make mindfulness at work mainstream that I neglected my own PR and social media presence.   I learned that its not about ego – I could have still done a great job to promote mindfulness for the greater good of humanity AND profited a little more from building my profile in the media. As a border line introvert this does not come naturally to me – but lesson learnt!   Also - be clear on your intentions, and let them work as your inner GPS – guiding your actions.  Its easy to get sucked into saying ‘yes’ when people offer you work that you find easy to do, and then before you know it your diary is full leaving you little time to innovate and develop new approaches and products

4. If you could wave a magic wand and have one wish for you or your coaching practice, what would it be and why?
That more people understand the value and importance of Intention.  Back in 2009 applying mindfulness to your work was a little known concept.  I worked hard for nearly 10 years to help make mindfulness at work mainstream
