Join us for a conversation with Dr. Tim Anstiss, about to what extent coaching has or should move towards a process based and evidence based approach.
This session with Tim will explore different approaches to coaching (humanistic, positive psychology, cognitive behavioural therapy) how they vary and how do we know what’s best for the person in front of us. Tim will also guide us through key frameworks, synthesised into 7 steps, which are proven to derive most benefits when working with clients.
Tim feels it’s time for coaching to move beyond the question ‘does coaching work’ to answer the question ‘what works for whom?’ And this immersive session is set to explore that.
Tim is a medical doctor, coach and coach educator. He is a lecturer on the MSc in coaching and behaviour change at Henley Business School and the author of several book chapters on different coaching approaches - e.g., motivational interviewing (MI), compassion focused and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) based coaching. He has lectured on and created content for the Masters in Applied Positive Psychology at UEL and has trained thousands of healthcare professionals in brief interventions and health coaching
