You know those times: a client is excited about a goal; you help them get fired up about it and you are confident they will absolutely go for it. Then in the next coaching session, you are surprised that they have hardly taken a step forward. You wonder how this could be possible.
In this experiential workshop, Lori will share an approach to helping you understand what holds people back, even when they are motivated. She will present a neuroscience-based tool which reveals a set of hidden doorways where old beliefs hide and, quietly but very effectively, whisper “don’t do that!”
Lori will identify and explore six doors and attendees will investigate one of them by looking for deeply held beliefs that stop us in our tracks. It is at this level that we identify and transform underlying messages that hold us back. Participants will experience a demonstration, apply the model to their own topic and discuss applications in small groups.
Lori Shook (MCC) has been training coaches for over 20 years with a particular focus on the application of neuroscience in coaching and leadership. She designed and delivers the master-level coach training programme ‘Coaches Going Corporate’ and has spoken at WBECS and ICF conferences.
If you attend all the live online meeting, you will receive 1.25 CCEUs: 1 Core Competency and .25 Resource Development.
