In a VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex & Ambiguous) world, to stay grounded we need to know who we are as we work. As a practitioner Michelle firmly believes “who we are, is how we coach” and so understanding our own identity and integrity is key.
This workshop takes a playful and creative approach to inspiring people to understand their coaching signature. Using a narrative approach and through the use of metaphor (building on the characters in the misfits game) participants explore their sense of how they show up in their client work. We explore what of their identity is core and what is still evolving. This encourages participants to think about their development as a coach in the near future. In turn it is an “obvious” tool that coaches can use with their own clients as they explore their leadership style to achieve authenticity and genuineness in a sometimes difficult organisational landscape.
At the end of the highly participative workshop, you’ll
- Have developed a narrative to describe the kind of coach you are
- Have considered how you are developing as a coach – identifying what is core and what is still forming for you personally
- Have experience of a creative approach which you could use and adapt for work with your clients
